ABOUT

An engineering lab for the physical world.

We build the parts other vendors hand off: the sensor, the board, the firmware, the model and the rollout.

WHY WE EXIST

A pattern we kept seeing.

aiQu Labs exists because of a pattern we kept seeing. A plant commissions an AI pilot. The model scores well on a sample set. Then it meets dust, vibration, inconsistent lighting, a fixed power budget and an operator with ninety seconds per unit — and the project quietly ends.

The failure is rarely the model. It is the seam between the data science vendor, the hardware shop and the systems integrator, where nobody owns the whole result. So we removed the seam: one team, accountable from the sensor through the silicon and firmware to the models and the cloud.

The second half of the name is the other half of the thesis. Many of the hardest problems in industry are not perception problems at all — they are combinatorial. Scheduling, routing, nesting and allocation. Quantum and quantum-inspired methods are becoming genuinely useful there, and they no longer require buying hardware. Most of that capability is sitting unused by exactly the mid-sized firms that need it.

THE NAME

ai + Qu = iQ

Two disciplines in one lab, and the result is already in the name.

ai

Artificial Intelligence

Frontier models applied to machines, lines and fleets — not slide decks.

Qu

Quantum

Hybrid and quantum-inspired methods an MSME can run on real workloads.

iQ

Engineered Intelligence

One accountable team across sensors, silicon, models and cloud.

Two halves of the name share two letters. Put them together and iQ is already there — applied intelligence, engineered for industry.

HOW WE WORK

Four rules we do not bend.

They cost us some deals. They also mean our pilots reach production.

  • Measure the baseline first

Before any model, we record what the current process achieves. Without that number, "improvement" is a sales claim rather than an engineering result.

  • Design for the environment

Latency budget, power envelope, ingress rating, thermals and failure behaviour are specified in discovery — not discovered during installation.

  • Prefer the boring solution

If a threshold, a classical solver or a fixture solves it, we build that. Novel methods have to earn their place against a simpler option.

  • Hand over everything

Weights, source, schematics, runbooks and training. Our support should be something you choose, not something you are trapped in.

TEAM

Engineers, not account managers.

The people who scope your project are the people who build it.

Want to know whether we are the right lab for this?

Ask us what we have not built. The answer is usually the most useful part of a first call.
